As part of this drive, the company holds awareness and collection programs throughout colleges, schools, shopping malls, offices and social gatherings among other events.


Bisleri has also tied up with three NGOs (non-governmental organizations) in Mumbai, namely Parisar Bhagini Vikas Sangh, Garbage Concern Welfare Society and Sampurna Earth. The plastic that is collected is suitably crushed and then sold to recyclers before being transformed into flakes. These are deployed for developing products that are non-edible, i.e. hand bags, cloth fabric and window blinds among other utilities. The campaign creates the scope for waste pickers to collect clean and used plastic bottles via numerous channels. They collect sizable amounts of clean plastic while earning good income simultaneously. These are sorted at the center for segregation and then dispatched for recycling purposes. Waste pickers are given hygienic and better working conditions along with better support for educating children via NGO partners.


The company has collected and recycled a whopping 3035 tonnes of plastic over the last three years. It works for ensuring the welfare of more than 1,500 underprivileged women and their households as well. It has already reached out to 3,00,000 students and their families from the inception of the campaign. Bisleri has also reached out to more than 5,00,000 people inclusive of housing societies, students and hotels along with leading corporates. Bisleri is also the holder of the World Record and supports the Swachh Bharat mission.

It initiated its drive for plastic bottle collection and recycling in schools as well. On the 4th of October, 2015, Bisleri entered into the Guinness World Records and Limca Book of Records for collection of the highest count of PET bottles for recycling via its programme for school contact that reached out to more than 2 lakh students. It collected 23,538.9 kgs of PET bottles or 1.1 million bottles in all.
